Crisis Management
A resilient organization confronts emergencies and critical incidents through a well-thought-out and organized approach. Steve Kuhr and his team work with organizations to develop a crisis management architecture comprised of end-to-end crisis management policies, emergency operating practices and protocols, crisis communications, business continuity, human care, and additional support as conditions demand. The team works with the organization to identify Crisis Management Team members; then provides orientations, drills, and exercises to prepare the team to react to crisis events of any nature and complexity.
Steve and his team at Kuhr Group possess real-world, on-scene, and Crisis Command Center experience, having led organizations through catastrophic and complex incidents. Steve and his team have partnered with a variety of organizations to provide emergency management leadership and consulting through hurricanes, floods, structure fires, wildfires, transportation accidents, electric, natural gas, and water disruptions, and acts of terrorism. A Kuhr Group Deployable Crisis Advisory Team (D-CAT) can begin supporting your organization virtually, helping to gather incident intelligence and situational awareness, in order to gain an understanding of the impact on your workforce, define the disruption to your business, assess damage to critical business facilities, and help form a crisis management infrastructure both virtually and on-site as soon as possible.
Risk Comprehension
Understanding risk begins with an honest and candid identification of threats and vulnerabilities that may confront an organization, specifically those that lead to emergencies, security incidents, and critical disruptive events. Kuhr Group will identify risks in a format represented by a quantitative rating. Once we understand the risk rating, we develop an explanatory narrative in a qualitative format. Once risks are understood, Steve and his team apply the information to inform crisis management and enterprise continuity planning. Steve and the Kuhr Group will collaborate with your organization to assemble a crisis planning team which will support emergency management and business continuity planning through a series of Kuhr Group facilitated preparedness workshops. Plans are tested, drilled, and exercised throughout the crisis planning lifecycle.
Resilience
Crisis-resilient organizations operate under a leadership philosophy that empowers the lifecycle of a Crisis-Risk-Resilience program. This end-to-end approach, from risk identification, comprehension, and mitigation, through crisis management, enterprise continuity planning, and exercises, leads to resilience. This resilience touches all elements of an organization’s ability to withstand, respond to, and recover from foreseen and unforeseen destructive incidents. Steve and his team cultivate crisis management planning, crisis team development, drills, and exercises against known risks as well as threats that may be anticipated through threat intelligence analysis or due to unforeseen internal or external threats.
